The Toddler

So it all went down

One Christmas night

The moon was out

And the stars shone bright.

The little toddler was on his feet

Danced merrily in the street

Finding foothold was hard at first

But learning the dance slacked his thirst.

White, white snow

And the motivation came

Dancing, trembling

Free of all shame.

Appearing now in the street light’s gloom

The toddler had left his mother’s womb

To set out on a journey free and far

And said to himself: You are who you are.
